But what about now?
Tuesday, October 16th, 2 month and 2 days after finding out that she had breast cancer, my mom had a biopsy done on her liver to find out if they spot they seen on the scan was definitely cancer or not.
It was!
She is told that she is now a stage 4. The cancer was metastatic and spread.
Why were our prayers not answered? Why wasn't He listening to us?
Or is He?
I change the dressings on her tumor daily, sometimes several times a day. There we are changing her bandages and I was almost brought to tears.
The tumor. It's smaller.
Go back to when she first came home from the hospital after finding out that she had cancer, mom had a home health nurse come and show me how to clean the wound and dress it. She measured the tumor at 5cm X 11cm.
Now, today, this day that we are going through our daily routine, it's smaller. Prayers are being answered! The tumor is shrinking. The chemo is working.
I noticed such a significant difference from the previous day that is was so unreal.
Normally people cannot see the "magic happen". But we can! It's amazing how medicine works. Though it is making her sick in other ways, it is killing the cancer!
Even though our prayers were not answered about the liver biopsy, I think they are being heard and answered about the cancer overall.
God is good and he has a plan for my mama.
This is her story......
