Life Changing Day

It's Tuesday August 14th, I'm getting ready for work and I get a phone call from my mother saying that she is waiting for the ambulance to come get her. "I'm bleeding and it wont stop".

What does this mean? What is happening to her?

After a few hours of being in the emergency room my mother was told that she may have breast cancer.

Breast Cancer? How? Why?

It was confirmed later that day and the days to follow that yes, it was breast cancer. Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Stage 3B. And the tumor had ruptured through the skin. She has a spot on her lymph node and on her liver.

Cancer? Not only in 1 spot but possibly 3.

Has she not been through enough? Has she not suffered enough in her life? Why can't she get a break? She has lost a husband, both of her parents, her son at 29 years old, a fiance', dealing with a suicidal husband.

Where is her break?
